Sarah Scheerger, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker


Sarah Scheerger currently has a private practice in Thousand Oaks as well as works part time for Ventura County SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area), as a Mental Health Services Specialist (MHSS). As an MHSS, Sarah provides mental health and behavioral services to schools throughout Ventura County. Through SELPA, Sarah provides clinical supervision for trainees and interns, as well as engages in direct practice. For the six years prior to working for SELPA, Sarah was a psychiatric social worker for Ventura County Behavioral Health, working at the Conejo Options Clinic, Phoenix School, and in the Simi High School ED program. Sarah has also worked for Aviva Center, in their level fourteen group home, and for Casa Pacifica as a child care counselor for Angels Cottage.


Sarah completed her graduate work at USC, and her undergraduate work at UCLA... and yes she knows they're rivals!


Sarah's area of expertise is in working with adolescents, young adults, and women's issues. She also focuses her practice on couples and families.
