Loredana Carson, M.P.P.A., teaches the Foundation courses for International students in both the MPPA and the MBA program. In the MPPA program, the Foundation course serves to acclimate the students to American University practices and focuses on the best practices of researching, writing, and oral presentation skills as well as providing an overview of American history and government. In the MBA program, the course focuses on the academic writing and communication skills required by graduate students at he university as well as presenting library research skills and citation style guides. In addition, she serves as an Academic Advisor in the MPPA Department. She has over 20 years experience teaching English as a Second Language, including 18 years as an adult educator at Conejo Valley Adult School where she also directed an academic program preparing adults for college.
