Jenna Hess, M.A., LMFT
Jenna is a licensed marriage and family therapist in California and Ohio. Her experience has been diverse, working as a therapist, supervisor, and manager in a variety of settings. Her clinical experience has been with children, teens, and adults with diverse presenting issues coming from many different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. In various roles, she has also collaborated closely with private, government assistance, and child protective service agencies to assist clients with addressing and removing social, emotional, relational, and addiction issues preventing them from maintaining family and individual safety, health, and self-sufficiency.
In addition to teaching and supervising at CLU, she works part-time supervising and developing a clinic training program at a non-profit in Santa Barbara as well as has a part-time private practice in Santa Barbara where she works primarily with young adults, children, and families. Her professional interests are clinical supervision, systems theory with a focus on an integrative approach, family therapy, and mindfulness based approaches to anxiety and depression. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate, in training since January 2012. She has a background in the visual arts which both aids her clinical work and serves as a wonderful hobby in her free time.
