Nomi Morris, MFA
Nomi Morris has taught COMM 231, Writing for Mass Media.
She has been a journalist for 27 years, including having worked as TIME Magazine's correspondent in Berlin and as the Middle East Bureau Chief for Knight Ridder Newspapers. Other career credits include the Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, the Santa Barbara News-Press, The Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, CBC Radio and Maclean's Magazine in Canada.
Nomi received her MFA in Creative Nonfiction at Pacific University, in Oregon in January, 2011. She has lectured widely on media, current events and international affairs, with a speciality in the Middle East. She has previously taught at Moorpark College, and University of California, Santa Barbara's Extension program. She is now Program Chair of Visual Journalism at Brooks Institute.
