Swimming and Diving Season has Begun

The Cal Lutheran men's and women's swimming and diving teams kicked off the 2009-10 campaign at the Malibu Invitational hosted by Pepperdine University on Saturday. The non-scoring meet was held all day at the Raleigh Runnels Memorial Pool with competition including 11 programs.

Midnight Madness Official Start to Homecoming Weekend

Into the later evening and early morning hours of Wednesday and Thursday will the longstanding CLU tradition of Midnight Madness, where students will celebrate the beginning of the Kingsmen and Regals basketball season, also begins Homecoming Weekend October 15-18.

Scholar-Athlete Society Recognizes 100 Students

A record-setting group of 100 student-athetes from 19 teams at California Lutheran University were recognized by the school's Scholar Athlete Society at a year-end banquet. All the students maintained a 3.4 GPA or higher for the academic year while particpating as a NCAA Division III student-athlete.

Kingsmen Take Fourth in SCIAC All-Sports

Six of the 10 Cal Lutheran men's athletic programs secured top three conference finishes earning a fourth place result in the 2008-09 SCIAC All-Sports Standings. Points are awarded based on final conference standings for each of the nine SCIAC sports and awarded to each institution respectively.

The California Lutheran men's swimming and diving team took fourth place at the 2008-09 SCIAC Championships at Belmont Plaza, concluding Saturday evening. Kingsmen Jared Vermillion earned the first swimming individual title taking the 200-yard fly (1:54.63) to highlight the final day of competition.

The Cal Lutheran swimming and diving team earned its first individual title of the 2008-09 SCIAC Championships on Friday night as senior diver Eric Vaughn outclassed a field of 15 divers in the three-meter competition.
