Men's Hoops Tips Off Tonight at 7 p.m.

The No. 14 Cal Lutheran men's basketball team will get its season underway tonight at Chapman University at 7 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than originally posted. It is the season opener for both schools and will have a live broadcast available online on Chapman's website.

NCAA Football First Round Preview Kingsmen-Wildcats

Several top-25 Division III football battles will take place across the nation in the first round of the 2009 NCAA Division III playoffs on Saturday afternoon. Of those includes the No. 22 Cal Lutheran Kingsmen heading north to face the No. 5 Linfield Wildcats for a Noon start on November 21 at Maxwell Field. Ostrander Headed to National Meet in Ohio

It has been thirteen years since Cal Lutheran cross country has sent a runner to the NCAA Championships and thanks to Ray Ostrander that streak is over. The junior harrier will compete at the national championship meet this Saturday in Highland Hills, Ohio.

Women's Basketball Season Preview

After a 7-18 overall record a year ago and 5-9 mark in conference play the Cal Lutheran women's basketball team has been revamped and reloaded for the 2009-2010 season. Head coach Roy Dow enters his second season at the helm of the program and welcomes 12 new players to his squad along with seven returners.

Heagy Nets All-WWPA Selection

Cal Lutheran's Matt Heagy was named to the team all-Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) team, released earlier this week. The senior two-meter man led the Kingsmen with 57 goals and 28 drawn exclusions to earn a spot on the Honorable Mention team.

Over the last three seasons the Cal Lutheran men's basketball team has posted a 56-21 overall record with a SCIAC Co-Championship and a pair of second place conference finishes. In 2009-2010 the Kingsmen return their starting five from a year ago and have been garnered with a No. 14 preseason national ranking.
