Getting Started: Graduate
Continuing Graduate Students: Fall 2011- Summer 2012
Applying for Financial Aid: The Process
- Complete the 2011-12 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and make sure to add CLU’s school code 001133. This application determines your eligibility for the low-interest Federal Stafford Loan and enables you to be considered for certain scholarships and grants depending on your program.
- Complete the 2011-12 Graduate Financial Aid Application online.
- Submit Verification Documents (if applicable): Your Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA will tell you if you are selected for Verification, and you will also receive a letter from CLU. You will have 30 days from the date of the letter to submit all of the requested documents.
- To ensure that you receive email notification of your financial aid eligibility, complete steps 1-3 as early as possible. Respond to any additional requests from CLU within 30 days.
Once you receive notification to your callutheran.edu email account that your award is ready to view, continue with these steps:
- Accept or Reject your Financial Aid Awards. It is CLU policy that students are responsible for accepting or rejecting each financial aid award. If you would later like to change your decision on a particular award, please contact your Financial Aid Counselor.
- If you accept a Federal Stafford Loan, you must complete the loan process which Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note.
- If you accept a Federal Graduate PLUS Loan, you must complete loan application (requires credit check). If credit is approved, you must complete the loan process (Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note).
