Financial Aid For International Students
Financial aid is very limited for international students. Working off-campus is prohibited for the first nine months on an F-1 student visa; after nine months, work possibilities are very limited and are allowed only by obtaining prior authorization. Some academic scholarships may be available only after a student submits the completed application for admission, the certification of financial support, and all school records. Scholarships, however, should not be calculated into the student's budget. Additionally, international students should not expect to use any on-campus employment opportunities to pay for school fees.
