Work Opportunity & Jobs

Traditional Undergraduate

On-campus employment is a great option for students looking for a part-time job. Students have the responsibility of applying and securing a job for themselves. On-campus jobs are NOT guaranteed and begin to fill up fast so be sure to apply early. Student workers should be enrolled as a full-time student and should maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

To search and apply for jobs, visit the Student Employment website.

Federal Work-Study (FWS)
Although most campus employment positions are open to any student, CLU does have some off-campus federally-funded work study positions, such as positions with the Area Housing Authority. These positions are only open to students with unmet financial need, as per the FAFSA. After a student has been hired, the Student Employment Office will determine if they qualify to FWS funding. Award amounts are based on availability of funds and number of applicants.

Campus Work-Study (CWS)
Current students who are enrolled at CLU and have established employment eligibility to work in the U.S. will be eligible for student employment earning CWS. The CWS program is not considered need-based employment.

Getting Paid
Students will receive paychecks every two weeks for hours worked. Students also have the option sign over their checks to CLU so earnings are credited towards their student balance.

Graduate and ADEP

Graduate and Adult Degree Evening Program students are eligible to participate in work related Assistantships for tuition remission.
