Giving to CLU

Why I Give

"The CLU experience is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Through my education, I have been rewarded with a number of successful opportunities and believe in the importance of giving back. The CLU Annual Fund is a way for alumni to share in the future development of today's students who will someday reflect on what it means to support an institution that we are blessed to call our Alma Mater."

Perry Ursem '95

"As alumni of CLU, we are proud to support our alma mater. Making an annual fund gift every year is an opportunity for us to express our appreciation for the wonderful education we received.

"We believe that alumni play an important role in ensuring that CLU continues to thrive and is able to provide meaningful learning experiences for future alumni."

"After moving to California with an out-of-state teaching credential, I found Cal Lutheran to be the university most qualified to prepare me for teaching in California. I enjoyed my classes as they were relevant and interesting, and the professors and instructors modeled great teaching practices. That is why I continue to support CLU with donations and recommend the university to my friends, colleagues and others seeking a first class education."

Donna L. Keller

"I love CLU because of the small class sizes, the dedicated faculty and the lifelong friends I made during my time there. If it wasn't for the CLU Annual Fund, I wouldn't have received the financial assistance and scholarships I needed in order to attend CLU. The CLU Annual Fund is so important because of the many financial and educational benefits it helps provide. I donate so that others can achieve their dream of a CLU education!"

"I have seen CLU make enormous strides since I joined the faculty in 1981. The facilities, academic programs, and students just keep getting better! That's why I'm proud to support CLU's annual fund, year-after-year. And I'm especially proud to call my daughter a CLU alum!"
