Giving to CLU

SPC Members

Meet the 2012-2013 SPC Members:

  • Addison Berry
    Class Year: 2016
    Hometown: Modesto, Ca
    Major: Biology
    Minor: Art

    Reason I Joined SPC:
I have loved my experience at CLU so far and I know that many of the opportunities and experiences that I have been fortunate enough to have, have been because of the generosity of donors. I want to be able to thank those who donate to the annual fund and to spread awareness about the annual fund to others.

What do you like/love about CLU?
I love that CLU is a very small, close campus. I feel that this has made it easier for me to make friends and get involved on campus.

  • Chelsea Gutowski
    Class Year: 2014
    Hometown: Saugus, CA
    Major: Sociology
    Minor: Art

    Reason I Joined SPC:
The reason I joined SPC was because the kind donors have helped me so much personally, I just wanted to spread their generosity to the rest of the student body and spread awareness of how much they help CLU as a whole. It's amazing what they do for us and I think everyone should know about it!

What do you like/love about CLU?
I love that I can never walk more than 5 minutes around campus without seeing a friend or professor who is happy to see me walk by. There's a reason the most common question asked by newcomers on campus is "Why is everyone so nice here??" It's something that you just won't find elsewhere.

  • Courtney Vendetti
    Class Year: 2015
    Hometown: Northridge, CA
Major: Psychology with a Sports Psychology Emphasis

What made you interested in joining SPC?
I understand how generous the Annual Fund is and wanted to make that known to the CLU Community.

What do you like/love about CLU? I love that CLU is accepting of everyone on campus. Everyone is so friendly and the intimate atmosphere in the classroom is great. I certainly can call it my home away from home.

  • Valeria Perez
    Class Year: 2015
    Hometown: Canoga Park, CA
    Major: Business

What made you interested in joining SPC?
Finding out that the tuition we pay does not cover the costs of being a student at CLU, is eye opening to the fact that we have to be very thankful to those who make it possible for every one of us to attend CLU. I joined SPC to become a part of something that brings awareness o this to the students.

What do you like/love about CLU?
I really like the outstanding professors and the great education that CLU offers as a university.

  • Marina Fotè
    Class Year: 2014
    Hometown: Oak Park, CA
    Major: Political Science

What made you interested in joining SPC?:
I joined SPC because I know how deeply my job at our phone campaign makes a difference within the Annual Fund. I love helping raise awareness about the Annual Fund's importance!

What do you like/love about CLU?:
CLU is a wonderful place where everyone has a voice. I love that there's always something going on and countless opportunities to get involved!

  • Kaitlyn Guilbeaux
    Class Year: 2014
    Hometown: Oakley, CA
    Major: Communications

What made you interested in joining SPC?
I joined because I wanted a better understanding of what philanthropy was.  I have stayed on the council to help students understand and appreciate the Annual Fund.

What do you like/love about CLU?
I love the vast number of clubs and other opportunities to get involved.  There are so many diverse interests at CLU, there is something for everyone.

  • Eve Mi Ngo
    Class Year: 2016
    Hometown: Winnetka, California
    Major: Business (Finance)

What made you interested in joining SPC?: There was a pumpkin drive to drive students into donating to the Annual Fund. Two SPC members came to my door and told me about SPC. I looked online, because I wanted to find out more. Little did I realize that SPC would be one of the biggest involvements for me on campus.

Our Mission
