What is the Annual Fund?

The Annual Fund provides essential monetary support to the meet the University's growing need for scholarships, new equipment, departmental initiatives, and a host of other resources that enhance the quality of the education we provide for each and every student. Since tuition covers only 85 percent of the actual cost of educating a student, the remaining 15 percent must come from caring individuals such as you! The CLU Annual Fund is one of the means by which alumni, students, parents and friends can most effectively support our students.

Can I choose where my dollars go?

Yes! You may direct your tax-deductible contribution to a specific department, program or college; or divide your gift to support more than one program that is dear to your heart or allow CLU to use the money where the need is greateast. You get to make the call!

Can I multiply my gift?

Gifts to the CLU Annual Fund can easily be multiplied by taking advantage of a corporate matching gift program. These programs allow an employee to direct his or her organization's philanthropy to benefit CLU. Please contact the Human Resources or Employee Benefits Office at your company to discover if they will match your gift. Completed matching gift forms may be mailed to:

Matching Your Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, visit our Matching Gifts website at http://www.matchinggifts.com/clu/.

Also, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will provide a 50 percent match on gifts (maximum match amount $300) for their policyholders. Please call CLU's Matching Gift Coordinator at (805) 493-3186 to request appropriate forms.
