What Our Students Say

Sonia Estrada

"CLU's Graduate Psychology Program has been a challenging, yet rewarding experience. I have learned so much and feel as though I will be more than capable and fully prepared to pursue a career as an MFT upon completion of the program."

Hometown:

Oxnard, Calif.

Professional Position:

Behavioral Therapist who specializes in working with children with autism.

Favorite CLU Class:

Systems of Counseling and Psychotherapy, because it has given me the tools to be an effective therapist in the future.

Most Challenging Assignment:

A research paper analyzing my life situation and coming up with ways to make it better. It seems easier to look into other people's lives and attempt to alleviate their stress, but it is much more difficult to look at issues in your own life.

Key to Keeping Balance In Life:

I have found that it is imperative to leave your professional life at the office and personal life at home. I also try to remind myself that in the midst of all my daily chaos that I am doing this because I want and deserve success. My goals and aspirations could never be achieved without maintaining balance in all facets of my life.

Hobbies:

Spending time with loved ones and enjoying a good game, whether it be football, baseball or basketball.
