Community Counseling Centers
Cal Lutheran's Community Counseling Centers offer quality counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and children while providing training for our students.
These services, offered on the main campus in Thousand Oaks and at the Oxnard Center, provide intensive clinical training to graduate students who are completing their studies in counseling psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy or clinical psychology.
Each trainee receives extensive supervision by experienced licensed clinicians. Supervisors include psychologists, MFTs and licensed social workers representing a wide range of theoretical orientations including systems, cognitive behavioral, and psychoanalytic approaches. State-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and observation rooms provide a rich supervisory and clinical training experience.
The Community Counseling Centers provide accessible psychotherapeutic services that are informed by the in-depth study of human development, psychological functioning, attachment, and interpersonal relationships.
