M.S. in Counseling Psychology (MFT)
Schedules & Locations
Students have the option of completing the Marital and Family Therapy program in two or three years based on a full-time or part-time course schedule. The full-time program is a two-year (24-month) program. Students that take their courses part-time can complete their coursework and practicum in three years (36 months). The completion of the program within these timeframes is based on the academic course planners linked below.
- Late afternoon and evening classes
- Monday through Thursday
- 4:00-7:00 p.m. and 7:00-10:00 p.m.
- Daytime classes
- Tuesday and Thursday
- 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m.
Can I switch locations?
If you are accepted into the Marital and Family Therapy program, you will be assigned to a cohort in either Thousand Oaks or Oxnard. (You can identify your location preference during the application process.) Once you begin the program at one location, you will continue all program requirements at that same location.
