Position Title
Theatre Arts - College of Arts and Sciences
Basic Function
California Lutheran University’s Department of Theatre Arts invites applications for a full-time tenure track (assistant professor) Costume/Makeup Design faculty position to begin August 25, 2014 (possible January 21, 2014 start date).
Representative Duties
Duties include: Costume/Makeup Design for Mainstage productions, supervision of costume shop and construction labs, run crews, and supervise student designers. Teach design courses and multiple costume construction labs and make-up design labs.
Education and Experience
Minimum qualifications: MFA or PhD in costuming with strong design and construction skills. Professional experience desirable. A collaborative approach to theatre, commitment to the instruction of undergraduates in a liberal arts environment, and demonstrated peer reviewed scholarship are integral to this position.
