Join us for the last event in the Entrepreneur Speaker Series, in which John Greathouse, serial entrepreneur, investor and professor, discusses the history of the Santa Barbara startup community and what the Conejo Valley can learn from its mistakes and lucky breaks. This is not a lecture - come ready to participate and share your thoughts regarding the Conejo Valley's core competencies and its future as a high-tech center of innovation.

About John:

John has held a number of senior executive positions with successful startups. At Computer Motion and Citrix, John spearheaded transactions which generated more than $350 million of shareholder value, including Computer Motion's initial public offering and the sale of Expertcity to Citrix for over $236M. In addition, John sold RevUpNet, an online marketing company which he co-founded, to UK-based Coull.

He is a Professor of Practice at UC Santa Barbara’s Technology Management Faculty where he teaches several entrepreneurship courses. In 2012, he was granted UCSB's prestigious "Venky" award as recognition of his multi-decade impact on Santa Barbara's entrepreneurial community. He is also the author of a hands-on startup blog: www.johngreathouse.com.
