Ways to Give
School of Management annual fund donations provide immediate funds for the Dean to allocate toward the School's priorities. These gifts allow the School to take advantage of opportunities that arise during the year to build academic programs, enrich student life and foster continuing alumni involvement.
The immediate impact of your annual gift is essential to building a center of excellence.
Gifts of Cash of Checks
Gifts of cash or checks allow you to claim an income tax charitable deduction for the full value of your gift. Make your checks payable to California Lutheran University and mail to:

Credit and Debit Cards
You may choose to give via a charge to your credit or debit card. You can arrange for either a one-time charge/debit or smaller, monthly deductions. To make a gift by credit/debit card, you can give now using our secure online donation form or call (805) 493-3358 to provide your credit card information over the phone.
Giving online is fast, simple and has an immediate impact. You may direct your gift to your special area of interest.
Gifts of Securities
Appreciated stocks and bonds are, next to cash, the most popular assets donated to California Lutheran University by alumni and friends.
Why? Because giving appreciated stocks or bonds may be more favorable than a cash donation:
- If you file an itemized tax return, you are entitled to a federal income tax charitable deduction. Many state income tax laws also allow for a charitable deduction.
- If the donated securities have been held long-term (12 months or longer), you may claim a deduction for their full fair market value.
- When appreciated securities are donated, you avoid paying tax on capital gain.
Always discuss donation options with your tax consultant to maximize your benefits. You can notify us of your intention to transfer shares by printing this DTC Instruction Form and faxing it to us at (805) 493-3831. If you have any questions, please contact us at (805) 493-3837.
