Music

From instrumental performances to the chapel choir, our chapel is a beloved space to worship through song and music.

Musical Offerings

One of the highlights of University Chapel worship is the “musical offering,” special music performed by soloists, choirs, instrumental ensembles, etc.

Chapel Choir

The Cal Lutheran Chapel Choir is an all-volunteer ensemble composed of faculty, staff, students, administrators, and locals who enjoy singing. We perform for many of Cal Lutheran's Thursday morning chapel services. This non-auditioned group is for anyone who loves to sing, regardless of experience level! Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 5:15 p.m. in Samuelson Chapel.

Lord of Life Worship Team

The Lord of Life Worship Team leads the music for the weekly Sunday evening worship services. Music in these services intentionally span the widest range of repertoire possible, including ancient chant, Lutheran chorale hymns, Taize hymnody, and contemporary praise songs. Pipe organ, piano, guitar, flute, percussion, violin, cello — pretty much every instrument can find a place here. Singers are always welcome to help us lead the congregation’s song. Rehearsals are held on Sunday afternoons in Samuelson Chapel.
