Photo: Brian Stethem(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Dec. 20, 2012) California Lutheran University’s School of Management will host a free panel discussion on sustainability on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
“The Opportunities and Challenges of Sustainability” will be held in the Lundring Events Center. A hosted networking reception will begin at 5:15 p.m. followed by the panel discussion from 6 to 7 p.m.
More organizations are considering the welfare of our planet than ever before. Experts on the panel will discuss the controversies that arise when companies implement sustainability measures.
The panel will feature Rodney Alves, founder of Alves & Associates, International Attorneys at Law; Eric Baldwin, president of Solarsilicon Recycling Services; Stan Hakes, who has 27 years of experience in local government and teaches environmental policy at CLU; John Levy, owner of Beezley Energy Advisors; Adrian Tylim, who focuses on developing solar and waste-to-energy power plants as president of All Energy Matters Inc.; and Bill Watkins, executive director of the CLU Center for Economic Research and Forecasting. Sally R. Phillips, a principal with Legal & HR Strategies, will moderate.
The discussion is part of the RE[CONNECTIONS] series organized by CLU’s School of Management. Held four times a year, the events provide an opportunity for students, alumni and community members to learn from experts on different topics.
The Lundring Events Center is in the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center, which is located on the north side of Olsen Road near Mountclef Boulevard on the Thousand Oaks campus.
