Speakers Bureau & Experts Directory
CLU: Your Trusted Resource
When you need an informative and entertaining speaker, please think of the CLU Speakers Bureau — one of the University's most visible and successful means of serving our greater community. The Speakers Bureau is a free resource to community groups, schools and organizations which taps into the expertise of both administrators and faculty members who conduct cutting-edge research and teach a wide range of academic disciplines and professional specialties.
- The dedicated faculty members come from top institutions throughout the country and represent a broad cross section of backgrounds, religious beliefs and philosophies. They present on diverse topics from international relations, business and finance, and athletics to social concerns, education, religion and art.
- Academic centers such as the Center for Leadership and Values, the Segerhammar Center for Faith and Culture and the Center for Integrated Science and Bioengineering provide opportunities for the community to hear world-renowned speakers. These centers also attract top professors in their disciplines who teach and conduct research at CLU.
- The new Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center has enhanced CLU's athletic and academic offerings with state-of-the-art sports facilities and progressive Exercise Science laboratories.
- A community service of the University, KCLU FM is an award-winning NPR station serving Ventura (88.3 FM) and Santa Barbara (102.3 FM) counties. The University also sponsors numerous cultural programs, lectures, and music and drama productions which are open to the public throughout the year.
How to Contact Speakers and Experts
The Experts Directory is a service to editors, reporters and producers; the Speakers Bureau is a public service to the community. Organized alphabetically by topic, the directory provides names of CLU faculty and administrators, their areas of expertise, and topics on which they are highly qualified to speak.
All arrangements for speaking engagements are made between the speaker and the requesting party. For contact numbers, e-mail addresses and speaker bios, choose from the selections under "Speaker Profiles" in the upper-left of this page.
Contact information is also available by calling the University Relations Office at (805) 493-3151 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We recommend contacting the speaker at least two weeks before the presentation date.
