Biography
I joined the Exercise Science Department at CLU in the Fall of 2007 moving from the Kinesiology and Nutritional Science department at CSU Los Angeles where I had taught since Fall 1999. In addition, I have an adjunct appointment in the Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy at USC where I have taught graduate level physiology courses since 2002. My research focuses primarily on musculoskeletal aspects of aging. This has included projects investigating bone changes in response to acute and chronic exercise in older subjects, and bone differences among various ethnic groups. I have also been involved on projects investigating skeletal muscle changes in response to acute and chronic exercise, as well as hormonal supplementation in older subjects.
