Pankow Named to National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society

IRVING, Tex. –The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (NFF) recently announced the 2014 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which included Cal Lutheran offensive lineman Andrew Pankow. 

In 2014, its eighth year of existence, the NFF Honor Society recognized 838 players from 267 member schools across all levels of the NCAA who had maintained a 3.2 GPA or better throughout his collegiate career.

Beyond holding a minimum 3.2 GPA and meeting all NCAA-mandated progress towards degree requirements, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant contributor to his program during his last year of eligibility at an NCAA institution to qualify.

A four-year letter winner for the Kingsmen, Pankow played a key role on the offensive line. In 2012 he earned a starting position and continued to be one of the top linemen in the conference as a senior in 2013. Pankow was selected to the First Team All-SCIAC and earned All-West Region accolades as a junior.

Pankow recently graduated with a degree in psychology with an emphasis in sports psychology. He is currently coaching football at his alma mater, La Salle HS, with career aspirations of working his way into a Division I coaching position.

Student-athletes from Occidental, Pomona-Pitzer and Redlands also represented the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) with this prestigious honor.
