(THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – March 24, 2016) CLUFest 2016 will showcase California Lutheran University students’ best multimedia creations and their exploration of modern technology.

“ENTERACTIVE” will run from April 16 through May 14 in the Kwan Fong Gallery of Art and Culture on the Thousand Oaks campus. A reception will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 23.

The multimedia senior capstone class of 14 students produced CLUFest. It recognizes the university’s most skilled student photographers, animators, computer artists and cinematographers. The exhibition will focus on audience interaction and illustrate the responsiveness of modern technology and media, providing a view of the ever-changing multimedia landscape

One of the highlights of this year’s show will be a large hologram featuring 3-D imagery of the students as well as original abstract video footage. An interactive photo booth will allow visitors to place their images in scenes from around the globe. Demonstrations of Oculus Rift will offer virtual reality experiences.

The gallery is located in the Soiland Humanities Center at 120 Memorial Parkway. It is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Parking is available at the corner of Olsen Road and Mountclef Boulevard.

Cal Lutheran’s Multimedia Department is sponsoring the free exhibition. For more information, contact Tim Hengst at 805-493-3241 or thengst@callutheran.edu.
