Regals Announce 2013 Golf Schedule

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – After a memorable inaugural season, the Cal Lutheran women’s golf team released the spring portion of their 2012-13 schedule Tuesday afternoon.

The Regals open their schedule on Feb. 11 with a trip to San Diego, Calif. as they compete in the Point Loma Invitational at Riverwalk Golf Course.

The following week, Cal Lutheran begins Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play when they tee-off in the SCIAC No. 1 at Empire Lakes Golf Course in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. on Feb. 23-24. The event is set to get underway at 8:00 a.m.

Two weeks later on March 11-12, the Regals travel to Prescott, Ariz. to play in the Embry-Riddle University Invitational at Antelope Hills Golf Course.

On April 6-7, Cal Lutheran will host the SCIAC No. 2 at La Purisima Golf Club in Lompoc, Calif. The first groups are scheduled to tee off at 8:00 a.m.

The regular season then continues with a cross-country trip to Memphis, Tenn. where the Regals will compete in the Rhodes Invitational at Windyke Country Club on April 15-16 where they will face off with some top caliber collegiate golfers.

Eleven days later, CLU concludes the regular season with the SCIAC Championships. The two day event beings April 27 and is hosted by Pomona-Pitzer at the Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, Calif. Cal Lutheran will look to build upon its third place finish from a year ago.

The 2013 NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship will take place May 14-17 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Fla.
