Multimedia: Project 24
Following with tradition for CLU Multimedia majors, the students of the 2012 Advanced Multimedia class are collaborating to create Project 24: a journalistic documentary-style exploration of 72-hours within our community. Students worked in shifts to gather as many stories as possible within a 24-hour time period on the CLU campus, in Thousands Oaks, and in Los Angeles. The project is comprised of photography, video footage, and written stories compiled into a digital magazine for viewing on tablet devices such as iPads. For the first time since the projects inception, all work will be built for viewing on iPads, creating a greater level of interactivity than can be found in traditional print media. The purpose of using this medium is to show the direction media will be heading towards in the future with the decline of print media and how this form can provide a deeper, more immersive experience.
