3D Printing – From Imagination to Physicality
The 3D printing revolution is here! From concept to physical prototype, the students of Multimedia Creative Concepts have created objects themed to their own original story concepts. These objects were hand drawn, digitally scanned, then imported into Photoshop and converted into a 3D object. The Makerbot printer, similar to a hot glue gun but is very precise, then extrudes slender threads of hot plastic to build the 3D object one micro layer at a time. Come see the printer in action and 3D objects on display! There will also be a raffle for copies of select objects.
