What our students are saying...

"I became interested in attending CLU's Online MBA program 4 months prior to graduating from CLU's undergraduate program in December 2005. Although I always knew that I wanted to attain a higher degree of education after college, I did not know what area of study I wanted to go into. All that I was really certain about was that, I enjoyed giving advice, I liked talking about money and I liked marketing. Financial planning seemed to fit into my criteria and so I met with Dr. Basu and after hearing about what an interesting field it was, I thought that it was the best fit for me yet.
Prior to my undergrad graduation, I started researching business graduate programs across the country, but none seemed to offer the same overall package like CLU. The pricing of the whole program is equal to what some schools were asking for only 1 year in their program. Also, I had such a great experience in my undergraduate years at CLU that I wanted to relive it if at all possible. Another tipping point was that I could save money on room and board by living at my parent's house.
One of the great things about CLU is that the classes here are always challenging and fun. However the most challenging experience is not the courses by themselves, but managing the workload with life. Like most MBA students, taking classes and balancing time with work and out of work activities can be challenging and time consuming. As for me, I currently work in Malibu, attend CLU MBA courses, work at CLU, help out at my parent's house and have a girlfriend. It can be challenging at times to dedicate equal shares to everything. However, so far I seem to be keeping my head above water.
So far the best strength that I have experienced at CLU is the teachers and their dedication to their students. I really enjoy the small class sizes that allow you to get to know your professor on a professional and personal level. Second to the teachers, would have to be the students. I have met a lot of good friends during my first year in the program. CLU seems to attract a good crowd.
Another great thing about CLU is the great hands-on learning experience that I have attained from the classes. There are many examples that I can use, from working on the newsletter to advising my parents to seek a wise estate planner. However, currently I am enrolled in a Business Law class, which is helping me deal with some personal issues that have come into my life. It has also sparked a new interest for law school, after attaining my master's degree."
