Greetings from the California Institute of Finance and a big welcome to this new Alumni Portal created just for you. We have discussed such a provision with you for a while and we are very happy to be able to bring this project to fruition so that we can continue to serve you and your professional development needs. Through this portal and gateway, we expect to provide you with the many services you deserve as distinguished alumni of our prestigious institution. Some of these services and features also merit special mention.
The "Business Referral" section is dedicated to provide you with just that - business referrals. When you register, we ask you to list your top four expertise areas. We also request that when you search for experts, you look amongst colleagues from your alma mater as well. This way, all such referrals stay in house and we all win. You too hopefully will receive many referrals from this site as well. Another feature is the professional discussion board where we invite you to discuss developments in practice management including new tools and techniques, cutting edge applications, new resources, etc.
Remember our fabulous financial planning library. You now have access to it for life. Thousands of financial journals and books. Databases like Lexis/Nexis, Reuters, Mergent, EBSCO. Read your wall Street Journal or Financial Times here daily, Business Week or Forbes weekly. Need to do some research — contact us and our current students and staff will be happy to provide you with such services. We will also have webinars for professional development, CE courses and other developmental activities. Alumni networking events, recruiting and tailgating parties. Volunteer with Breakfreee to help underserved women. And...much, much more.
