Mark Edwards has over 30 years of investment management experience. He spent 11 years at the Minnesota State Board of Investment where he managed internal equities and oversaw the trading desk. He spent the next 20 years as a Managing Partner at the Plexus Group, where he consulted with mutual funds, money managers, brokers and pension funds on process management, quantitative management, and trading. He has written numerous articles for both the Journal of Portfolio Management and for the Financial Analyst Journal.
Edwards received his Master in Business Administration Degree from Indiana University and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Carleton College. He is also a Certified Financial Planner designee.

1995 to Present: Self-employed Certified Financial Planner™. Establish financial plans for individuals; provide business and insurance planning for small businesses; provide investment advice; prepare personal budgets and retirement plans; and prepare S corporation and estate tax documents. 1986 to 1996: Real estate broker specializing in re-financing of residences for recently laid off personnel. Assisted clients in establishing budgets and finding new careers.
Part-time business and law instructor in the Los Angeles Community College District from 1973 to 1976.
Since 1976, taught various finance and business courses on a part time basis for University of California and CSU Extension Systems, graduate courses at CLU and Northrop University, and financial planning courses for College of Financial Planning. Also taught in-house courses.
