The California Lutheran University Community is reaching out to current students and alumni who may be affected by the employment transitions in effect at Amgen and Countrywide.
On November 28, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. the California Institute of Finance at CLU is providing a workshop to address some of the concerns that these students have expressed a need for.
Topics will include
- How to negotiate a relocation package
- Issues involved with selling or renting a house in the current market
- The statutes and portability of various employee benefit plans, such as 401-K and insurance plans
The workshop will have roundtable sessions lasting approximately 1/2 hour in duration and will address a specific topic. The attendees will have an opportunity to attend sessions on all three topics or only the topics they are interested in.
The workshop will be held at CLU in the Lundgren Events Center and is open to current CLU students and alumni employed by Amgen and Countrywide. The public is also invited to attend.
