MS-IST Admission Requirements
Candidates for admission to the MS-IST Program should apply at least 45 days prior to the start of the term. To begin the admission process, simply submit the following materials together:
- Your completed application (with fee)
- Official undergraduate transcripts
- Three letters of recommendation
- A personal statement
- Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Waiver
Prerequisites for the program will include at least one year of hands-on programming coursework or one year of hands-on programming experience. In addition, a bachelor's degree in a technical program, or another bachelor's degree with at least three years work experience in a technical role will be a prerequisite.
Technical programs and roles include those related to Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Information Security, and Networking. Other programs and roles may be accepted at the discretion of the Program Director.
A bachelor's degree with a grade point average of at least 3.0 in upper division courses and either an approved GMAT waiver or satisfactory scores on the GMAT are required to be accepted into the program. An interview with an admission counselor is also required.
