Programs in French

About the Program

French at CLU highlights not only linguistic and cultural diversity, but also emphasizes the development of language skills and proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing.

The major in French lies at the heart of the broader liberal arts curriculum, promotes and enhances the "Marks of Quality" at California Lutheran University, and abides by the CLU mission statement "to educate leaders for a global society." Designed to offer enrichment opportunities for the intellectual and esthetic development of all students, French at CLU highlights not only linguistic and cultural diversity, but also emphasizes the development of language skills and proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing.
