When I began thinking of what my computer simulation was going to do I had assume some things.

• Any car that enters the intersection leaves the intersection.
• There is a 3 second gap between cars. (Laws of Driving)
• A car that gets to an intersection first goes first.  (rules of right-of-way)
• If two cars get there at the same time, the car on the right goes first.  (rules of right-of-way)
• Instant stops.
• It takes 3 seconds to clear intersection when there is stop sign installed and 1 second when there is a signal light installed.
• Turning lanes do not cause any unnecesssary congestions.
