Note: Students may take up to 6 credits from any other graduate program.

Additional Completion Requirements:

1.) A. Comprehensive Examination (no credit) based on the 5 core courses. There is a $300 fee required to take the comprehensive examination. Students may sign up in March and thereafter will be billed at the beginning of the following June. The exams are held the third Saturday of June (held once a year only).

B.) Thesis or Project (3 credits). Student must signed up for PA599A (Thesis) or PA599B(Project) class. Credit will be counted toward 24 credits of elective courses. 2.) Internship (no credit). All candidates for the MPPA degree are required to complete an internship in public administration. The internship normally involves at least 100 hours of supervised work experience in an approved position. The internship should be completed within six months of the first term of enrollment. With the approval of the program director this requirement may be waived under certain circumstances, such as employment in the public or private sector.
