Program Requirements
This 34-credit curriculum — which can be completed in less than two years — requires the successful completion of the following courses:
- Psychopathology (3)
- Systems of Counseling & Psychotherapy (3)
- Law & Ethics (2)
- Diagnostic & Therapeutic Interviewing (3)
- Applied Behavior Analysis (3)
- Group Therapy (2)
- Program Supervision & Evaluation (3)
- Survey of Psychological Testing (3)
- Advanced Statistics (3)
- Advanced Research Methods (3)
You also will choose a two-course elective series from the following:
- Principles & Techniques in Child Therapy (3) and
- Principles & Techniques in Adolescent Therapy (3)
or:
- Principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation (3) and
- Techniques in Psychiatric Rehabilitation (3)
Additional Requirements
- Comprehensive Examination (effective Fall 2009, there will be a charge of $250 to take the exam) OR
