Program Requirements

This 34-credit curriculum — which can be completed in less than two years — requires the successful completion of the following courses:

  • Psychopathology (3)
  • Systems of Counseling & Psychotherapy (3)
  • Law & Ethics (2)
  • Diagnostic & Therapeutic Interviewing (3)
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (3)
  • Group Therapy (2)
  • Survey of Psychological Testing (3)
  • Advanced Statistics (3)
  • Advanced Research Methods (3)

You also will choose a two-course elective series from the following:

  • Principles & Techniques in Child Therapy (3) and
  • Principles & Techniques in Adolescent Therapy (3)

or:

  • Theories of the Recovery Model (3) and
  • Techniques in the Recovery Model (3)

Additional Requirements

  • Comprehensive Examination (the comprehensive exam fee is $250) OR
