Mark Holmstrom

Accompanist/Organ

Mark Holmstrom, a native of Los Angeles, began piano study at age 9 and organ at age 15. He studied both instruments with Richard Warne for seven years. He has been organist at First Lutheran Church of Northridge for the past 28 years accompanying the choir in such works as Haydn's The Creation, Brahm's Requiem, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Saint-Saens' Christmas Oratorio, and Handel's Messiah. In 1998 he became Director of Music at First Lutheran where he now also conducts the choir.

Mr. Holmstrom has been staff accompanist at California Lutheran University since 1993 accompanying the choral ensembles and assisting the voice and instrumental faculty. He is also the accompanist for The Wagner Ensemble conducted by Jeannine Wagner and the Los Robles Chamber Singers conducted by James Stemen.
