Andrew Malloy

Trombone, Tuba

Andrew Malloy received a Bachelor of Music Education (magna cum laude) from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School. He has studied with Ralph Sauer of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Edward Herman of the New York Philharmonic and Per Brevig of the Metropolitan Opera. He is a member of the Pasadena, Santa Barbara and New West Symphonies and the Crown City Brass Quintet.

As a free lance musician he performs with many of the ensembles in the greater Los Angeles area including: Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Long Beach Symphony, Pacific Symphony and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.

In the recording field he has worked for many composers including John Barry, John Williams, James Horner, Elmer Bernstein, Alan Silvestri, Jerry Goldsmith, Randy Newman, David Newman and Basil Poledouris. His teaching duties include Pepperdine University and California Lutheran University.
