Having credit cards can be good or it can be very, very bad. The choice is entirely yours.
Used wisely, a credit card is a first step toward establishing the good credit history you will need when the time comes to rent an apartment, buy a car or purchase a home on your own. Used unwisely that same credit card will allow you to run up a debt that could take years to pay off and cast a shadow over your finances for a long, long time.
