Athletics Facilities
We've just completed or are about to complete an array of state-of-the-art athletic facilities. New baseball and soccer fields and an aquatics center will open for the 2006 season. A 96,000-square-foot sports and fitness center, featuring two gymnasiums, an events center, fitness and strength conditioning centers, dance studios and a Hall of Fame will open in fall 2006.
Gilbert Sports & Fitness Center
A new building to include a 1,500-seat basketball arena, a separate full-size practice court, a 9,000-square-foot fitness center including weights, exercise bikes and other fitness equipment, athletic training facilites, classrooms and a 3,000-square-foot meeting room for conferences and receptions. Expected completion in fall 2006.
Samuelson Aquatics Center
The Samuelson Aquatics Center will include a 50-meter by 25-yard pool and diving well, providing the swimming, diving and water polo teams with an Olympic-quality facility in which to train and compete.
George "Sparky" Anderson Baseball Stadium
The new stadium is home to CLU Baseball. Named after the legendary Major League Baseball manager and CLU supporter, the field will be surrounded by a 500-seat stadium to be completed in 2006.
Other Facilities
Future plans for the North Campus Athletics Complex include a 3,000-seat lighted football stadium, a 500-seat softball facility, a 15-court lighted tennis complex, a 1,000 seat Soccer Stadium and a new Track and Field facility.
Current athletic venues include a 500-seat gymnasium, the 2,300-seat Mt. Clef football stadium, the 200-seat North Field (baseball and soccer), the 100-seat Gibello Field (softball), Sterling Hills Golf Course, and Oaks Christian School Aquatics Center.
