Reel Justice Film Series: Mary and Martha

Reel Justice Film Series: Mary and Martha

Mary and Martha (2013) is an epic journey of self-discovery as two mothers forge a unique bond after traumatic events in Africa bring them together. The two very different women – one an American interior designer and the other a British housewife – meet in Africa while they struggle with their grief and strains on their marriages. After they decide to work together to raise awareness of malaria, a preventable and treatable disease, they begin to rebuild their lives and, in the process, inspire change. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to the CLU Malaria Campaign, aiming to raise $15,000 by June 2014 to support the ELCA Malaria Initiative which pledged to raise $15 million by the end of 2014.
