Save the TDs

This global awareness and service-oriented program is centered around Breast Cancer Awareness month. The main event of the program involves facilitating multiple Pink Flag Football games that are welcome to all who wish to play (Liability waivers will be required for those who wish to play). In the week before the program, during their rounds, RAs will market throughout the complex by passing out educational handouts regarding the facts about Breast Cancer and locations where they can donate to help "Save the TDs." This early form of marketing will also offer residents the chance to donate towards fighting breast cancer. On the day of the event, the following will take place: the flag football games (flags provided by Intramural Sports; 7 on 7 games of short 10-15 minute halves); pink breast cancer awareness themed giveaways will be provided for participants (purchased from Oriental Trading Co.); a raffle in which tickets will be bought and that money raised will be combined to the donation total; Hooters wings will be the food provided for the event. For the program setup, chairs, tables, EZ ups, speakers, and a microphone will be provided.
