Location: All Classes are held in the Dance Studio on the second floor of the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center. Pilates Club is a University Club and is open to all CLU students, faculty and staff. Pilates Club times are separate from Fitness Class times.

Bootcamp:

Fitness Boot Camp is a high-energy group fitness program that will jump start your metabolism, increase relative functional strength, and elevate your overall level of fitness. Designed for all levels of fitness, Fitness Boot Camp is instructed by former United States Marine and CLU graduate, Mark Glesne ('03).

Pilates:

Pilates Mat Classes are strength training for the core using your own body for resistance. Some of the most intense Pilates exercises are combined with athletic training moves to provide an effective workout that will improve core strength, balance, flexibility and tone the whole body. All levels of fitness are welcome! Please bring water and an exercise mat.

Yoga:

A vinyasa flow yoga class that incorporates "sun salutations" with balance/strengthening poses, deeply held stretches, and breath techniques to give the body and mind a full workout.

A hatha yoga class that focuses on warming up the body, then moving into more "yin" style poses. These poses are held longer to gently go deeper into a pose using gravity and relaxation to not only stretch the muscles, but to gently stretch and activate the joints in order to increase mobility and range of motion.

Zumba:

Zumba Fitness is exhilarating, easy-to-follow dance-fitness workout with a Latin/World flare. Incorporating interval training with high-energy music and dances like Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton and Bollywood, Zumba provides an excellent cardio workout that is both fun and effective (potential caloric burn: 600-1000 calories in one session) No dance experience necessary-just a willingness to sweat and have a great time!

Policies

All students, faculty, staff, and yearly members are welcome! All classes are free and are located in the Dance and Fitness Studio on the second floor of the GSFC (Excluding Bootcamp). Please be respectful of the floor and wear appropriate shoes and clothing. If attending the yoga class, please bring your own mat.

Please Note:
Classes will not be in session during university holidays.

Please be courteous to our facility by wiping off your shoes before tracking dirt and grass throughout the center. Thank you!
