Location: All Classes are held in the Dance Studio on the second floor of the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center. Bootcamp meets outside the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center (sometimes has class outside). Pilates Club is a University Club and is open to all CLU students, faculty and staff. Pilates Club times are separate from Fitness Class times.
Bootcamp: Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:15pm
Fitness Boot Camp is a high-energy group fitness program that will jump start your metabolism, increase relative functional strength, and elevate your overall level of fitness. Designed for all levels of fitness, Fitness Boot Camp is instructed by former United States Marine and CLU graduate, Mark Glesne ('03).
Pilates: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm
Pilates Mat Classes are strength training for the core using your own body for resistance. Some of the most intense Pilates exercises are combined with athletic training moves to provide an effective workout that will improve core strength, balance, flexibility and tone the whole body. All levels of fitness are welcome! Please bring water and an exercise mat.
Zumba Sentao: Mondays at 7:30pm
The Zumba Sentao program combines strength and resistance training with innovative dance-fitness moves, all centered around a chair. Infused with the famous Zumba party atmosphere and energizing world rhythms, this never-before-seen workout tones muscle, strengthens the core, and torches calories in a unique and consistently thrilling way. Taught by our certified Zumba instructor Stacy.
Yoga: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15pm
A vinyasa flow yoga class that incorporates "sun salutations" with balance/strengthening poses, deeply held stretches, and breath techniques to give the body and mind a full workout.
Zumba: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30pm
Yoga: Wednesdays at 7:00am
A hatha yoga class that focuses on warming up the body, then moving into more "yin" style poses. These poses are held longer to gently go deeper into a pose using gravity and relaxation to not only stretch the muscles, but to gently stretch and activate the joints in order to increase mobility and range of motion.
Mobility 3D: Wednesdays at 7:30pm
Killer Core: Fridays at 5:15pm
Do not be intimidated by the title! This class will revolutionize the way you think about your core, which is the center of movement for your entire body! Increase performance, posture, appearance and more through the fundamental movements that use the core the way they are supposed to. Come ready; you will be doing much more than mere sit-ups for the core workout! Taught by our certified instructor Ryan. *Appropriate for ALL levels of age and fitness. Bring water, a mat, and towel.
All students, faculty, staff, and yearly members are welcome! All classes are free and are located in the Dance and Fitness Studio on the second floor of the GSFC (Excluding Bootcamp). Please be respectful of the floor and wear appropriate shoes and clothing. If attending the yoga class, please bring your own mat.
Classes will not be in session during university holidays.
Please be courteous to our facility by wiping off your shoes before tracking dirt and grass throughout the center. Thank you!
