Upcoming Hall Cup Tournaments (Academic Year 2014 - 2015):
General Information: Cal Lutheran’s Hall Cup is a campus wide competition designed to create student engagement, friendly competition,and team work between all of Cal Lutheran's Resident Halls and Commuter Students. The competition will consist of 6 to 7 athletic tournaments that will test the dedication, commitment, and athletic skills of students in their respective Resident Halls. Teams will be formed on a first come first serve basis. The sports for this year long competition will include Darts, Kickball, Capture the Flag, Ultimate Frisbee, Ping Pong, Cosmic Dodge ball. Each tournament will consist of teams from all Res Halls plus one Commuter Team. With each sport there are coed regulations for the amount of players per team and teams / individuals per sport. Please check with the sports rules and regulations for these policies.
Tournament Scoring: Each Res Hall or Commuter group will have a specific number of teams allowed to play in each Tournament (Click on the Tournament for it details). Res Halls / Commuter groups will be ranked based on how they finish in each tournament. Points will be awarded to Res Halls / Commuter Groups based on their ranking in the tournaments. First place teams will get the most points added to their Res Hall / Commuter group total. Points totals will decrease with lower ranking.
The Res Hall / Commuter Group with the most total points at the end of the year will be awarded the Cal Lutheran Hall Cup and be Intramural Champions over all other Res Halls and the Commuter team. The winning Res Hall / Commuter Team will keep the Hall Cup all year until a new Champion is crowned.
Sporting Rules and Regulations: All Res Hall / Commuter Teams and participating students must abide by the Intramural Sports Code of Conduct and follow all Intramural tournament and sport rules (Tournament and sport rules can be found under the designated Tournament or Sport)
