Community Leaders Association (CLA) Memberships

What is the Community Leaders Association (CLA)?

The California Lutheran University Community Leaders Association is looking for civic, business and community leaders who are interested in joining with the intention of getting involved, and participating in events that not only support but raise funds for student scholarships and faculty grants.

The Forrest Fitness Center Community Leaders Association (CLA) Membership is available to current members of the CLA. This membership includes access to the Forrest Fitness Center during regular operating hours and access to the Samuelson Aquatics Center during Open Swim hours. 

Cost: $375 FFC membership fee per year + $50 CLA membership fee per year = $425 per year

Forrest Fitness Center CLA Members are eligible to add-on ONE spouse / domestic partner to their membership for an additional fee of $200 per year.

To obtain the FFC CLA Membership:

  1. Apply to join the Community Leaders Association.                                                             CLA membership application
  2. Visit the Forrest Fitness Center online purchase page and select the Community Leader's Association Membership. Spouse / Domestic Partner add-ons should be indicated here.   purchase cla ffc membership
  3. After purchase, be sure that you receive a confirmation email. If not, contact ffc@CalLutheran.edu to verify payment confirmation.
  4. Print, read, and fill out the FFC Membership Application & Agreement. This document must be turned in to the Forrest Fitness Center front desk staff or sent in via email to ffc@CalLutheran.edu . Your Memberhsip Application must be received and processed before memberships can be activated. In case of an emergency, individuals must have valid medical insurance that covers Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

  6. Once the membership has been purchased and application has been received, the FFC Coordinator will request an ID card from Campus Safety. 
  7. Please allow 5-7 business days from the day that the FFC Membership Application & Agreement is submitted to hear back regarding the membership.
  8. Once approved, you will receive a confirmation email from the FFC Coordinator notifying you that your CLU ID card is ready to be picked up at the Campus Welcome Center. 
  9. CLU ID cards grant access to the Forrest Fitness Center. All patrons MUST have their CLU ID card to enter the Forrest Fitness Center. No CLU ID card = No FFC Access

Renewal Process:

  1. Renew Community Leaders Association Membership.                                                             CLA membership Renewal

  3. Print, read, and fill out the FFC Membership Application & Agreement. This document must be turned in to the Forrest Fitness Center front desk staff or sent in via email to ffc@CalLutheran.edu.   4. Memberships will be reactivated once the above paperwork has been submitted. Please note that CLU ID cards may not work at the FFC front desk turnstile right away.
  5. Please allow 3-5 business days for paperwork to be processed and CLU ID card to be reactivated to work at the FFC front desk turnstile.
