Pre-Departure Preparation
Congratulations! You are about to begin an adventure of a lifetime! You will find information about important events and how to prepare for your time abroad in this section.
Before you journey abroad, you'll get a crash-course in overseas preparation and meet other CLU students who are also venturing to foreign lands. We've designed two informative and interactive events.
1. Pre-Departure Orientation
Each study abroad destination or region has its own meeting. Discussion will involve health and safety information, money and banking, packing, and how to get courses approved.
Previous study abroad students will be there to help you navigate the process and help you learn more about your host city and/or country. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and meet fellow study abroad students.
2. Pre-Departure Dinner
This is the final meeting and celebration held at the end of the semester for outbound students. Students watch an important safety video and announcements are made regarding their upcoming summer, semester, or year abroad.
