We acknowledge the presence of a living God. We believe in the life giving action of Jesus Christ. We understand the power of the Holy Spirit calling us into lives of committed service.

Discovering the presence of God in your life is an important part of your identity at Cal Lutheran. Campus Ministries offers opportunities to help you nurture that identity and calling. You will be invited and welcomed into a worshipping community as one way to explore the "God Story" within you.

Meet the Campus Pastors

Pastors Scott and Melissa Maxwell-Doherty bring to Cal Lutheran a wealth of experience in worship planning, youth and family ministry, and programming for young adults.

Worship Opportunities

From the quiet of the meditation chapel to the joyful sounds of praise - Cal Lutheran offers a wide range of experiences so everyone who chooses to participate can feel comfortable. In addition to campus worship, houses of worship representing many different denominations are within an easy commute from Cal Lutheran's campus.

Lord of Life Student Congregation

The Lord of Life Student Congregation directs 14 different ministries, including worship on Sundays, service and mission events and fellowship activities. Led by a council, the congregation also provides opportunities in faith development and leadership training.

As God's people, we are called to serve. At Cal Lutheran there is an abundance of opportunities for you to share your talents.

Confidential Pastoral Care
If you need someone to talk to, we are here. The pastoral staff is available to the entire Cal Lutheran community for conversation, pastoral counseling and consolation in times of crisis. Hospital visits are made to those persons who are known to be hospitalized. All pastoral consultation is confidential. Persons wishing to speak to the pastor are invited to make an appointment by dropping by the Office of Campus Ministry or by calling 805-493-3228.
