Meet the Campus Pastors
The husband and wife pastoral team, the Rev. Scott and the Rev. Melissa Maxwell-Doherty, are CLU alumni, members of the graduating class of 1977. After attending Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, CA, they
ministered together as pastors of Salem Lutheran Church in Glendale, CA; Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Phoenix, Ariz.; and Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, ND.
Both Scott and Melissa have a wealth of experience in worship planning, youth and family ministry, and programming for young adults. Melissa served as the worship coordinator for the ELCA National Youth Gathering and a member of the Christus Rex Lutheran Campus Ministry Worship Committee. She is the author of the "Let the Children Come" column in Sundays and Seasons 2001. Scott has served as a member of the ELCA National Youth Gathering Planning Team and an adjunct professor for Youth and Family Ministries at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary.
