Jessica Estes (Schroeder) '09 & Chris Estes '08
I remember sitting in the chapel during freshman orientation hearing about what a life changing experience we were about to have starting college and, heck, “your future spouse may even be in this room”. Well he wasn’t. But I did meet him that afternoon when he helped direct me when I was lost walking around campus. I can’t say it was love at first sight, but a fariswheel ride during the homecoming carnival, meet ups at Friday night Club Lus, trips to the beach, watching him score at soccer games, and a study abroad apart in Australia solidified our relationship. We got married the summer after graduation and here we are celebrating our tenth year of marriage! We now have an adorable son named Callen, or Cal for short in honor of our meeting at Cal Lu. CLU was the foundation for our love story and we now enjoy a beautiful family and life all thanks to the place, experiences and people that make up California Lutheran.
