Exhibitions That Made Art History

Fifty and Better Summer Session 2

Exhibitions That Made Art History

This class will look at some of these momentous exhibitions to see how they were conceived and organized, what was shown and how they were received. In addition to the exhibition, we will also look at the first Salon d'Automne, Germany's first Brücke and first Der Blaue Reiter exhibitions, London' Manet and the Post-Impressionists, among other in Europe, bringing us to the momentous 1912 Armory Show in New York. A more detailed description can be found on our website.
